VISA Bulk Shipping
We hedge and trade in freight derivatives through buying and selling of Forward Freight Agreements (FFAs), including options. We expect to be well positioned for good decision-making in the volatile freight markets, through our combined knowledge and understanding of the shipping markets as well as the commodity markets.
SHIP CHARTERING & OPERATIONS
We charter and operate dry bulk vessels of various sizes for related
companies and third parties.
We balance our shipping portfolio through a combination of period and spot
charters as well as FFA.
PORT OPERATIONS & LOGISTICS
Our port operations team helps improve the turnaround time of our vessels at
the load and discharge ports. These teams also monitor inventory at ports and
control the inward and outward movement of cargo.
Dedicated port operations personnel are placed in key ports in India where
vessels call the most, such as Haldia, Paradip, Vizag and Chennai. In addition,
there are centralized teams in India, China and Indonesia who travel to various
ports at the time of shipment.
